Berberine is a plant alkaloid that occurs naturally in barberry (Berberis species), goldenseal and Chinese turmeric, among others. It has a long history in traditional herbal use and has become popular in recent years through social media.
No health claims for berberine have been authorised by the EU. We therefore only describe what the product is: Berberine by Natuurlijk.fit contains 500 mg Rebersa® berberine extract (Berberis aristata) and 100 mg MSM per capsule, in a pullulan capsule without magnesium stearate.
