Capsule shell: pullulan (cassava extract, vegan, kosher and halal). No HPMC, no gelatine.
The four ingredients — botanically
- Berberine: an alkaloid from plants such as Berberis aristata and Coptis chinensis. Has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic herbal medicine.
- White horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum): the best-known active substance is aescin, a compound from the seed of the tree.
- Ginger (Zingiber officinale): used worldwide as a spice and as a plant extract; contains gingerols, among other constituents.
- Peppermint (Mentha × piperita): the essential oil consists mainly of menthol and menthone.
Important safety information
- Do not use during pregnancy, when trying to conceive, or while breastfeeding
- Not suitable for children under 18
- Drug interaction warning — berberine: can influence the action of antidiabetics (blood-sugar-lowering medicines), anticoagulants, ciclosporin and other CYP3A4 substrates. If you take medication, consult your doctor or pharmacy first.
- With bile duct complaints, liver disease or a known herbal allergy: do not use without consulting your practitioner
