Frequently asked questions

What exactly is in DigeStim?
Per capsule: DigeZyme® enzyme complex 100 mg (amylase 2,400 DU, cellulase 110 CU, lipase 20 FIP, lactase 400 ALU, protease 600 PC), vitamin C 100 mg as calcium ascorbate (125% of the reference intake) and artichoke extract 250 mg. Also contains ascorbyl palmitate and a small amount of nucleotides (<25 mg); acacia fibre as carrier, pullulan capsule.
How do I take it?
1 capsule during or just before the meal, with a glass of water. With three meals a day that means a maximum of 3 capsules. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Is DigeStim vegan and gluten-free?
Yes. The enzymes come from fermentation (non-animal) and the capsule is made of pullulan. Vegan, gluten-free and without magnesium stearate or fillers.
Who is DigeStim not suitable for?
Do not use if you are allergic to moulds (the enzymes are fermented with Aspergillus species) or to composite plants (artichoke). Do you have pancreatic insufficiency or another condition of the pancreas? Then only use DigeStim after consulting your doctor. DigeStim is a food supplement, not a medicine. Do you have gallstones or a blockage of the bile ducts? Then do not use DigeStim without consulting your doctor.
Can it be used during pregnancy or with medication?
Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice. Do you use anticoagulants or diabetes medication? Then consult your doctor or pharmacist first.
Why does the contents sometimes look different?
Colour and smell can vary slightly from batch to batch. That is normal for an enzyme preparation from fermentation and says nothing about the quality.
How do I store it?
Dry and cool, with the pouch closed — not in the fridge. Keep out of reach of children.

Origin

From artichoke
to extract.

Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) is a thistle-like plant from the Mediterranean — on the table in Italy and France for centuries.

Two fresh artichokes and half a lemon on dark slate in golden light

The extract naturally contains cynarin and chlorogenic acid — compounds the plant produces itself.

Every DigeStim capsule contains 250 mg of artichoke extract, alongside the five enzymes and vitamin C.

Artichoke belongs to the composite family (Asteraceae). Do not use if you have a known allergy to composite plants.

All about DigeStim

What is DigeStim?

DigeStim™ is an enzyme complex from Natuurlijk.fit: 120 vegan capsules with DigeZyme®, vitamin C and artichoke extract. Per capsule 100 mg DigeZyme® enzyme complex, 100 mg vitamin C as calcium ascorbate (125% of the reference intake) and 250 mg artichoke extract (Cynara scolymus), with acacia fibre as carrier. The capsule is made of pullulan — plant-based, vegan, kosher and halal.

Five enzymes with a defined activity

DigeZyme® is a standardised complex of five enzymes. Per capsule: amylase 2,400 DU, cellulase 110 CU, lipase 20 FIP, lactase 400 ALU and protease 600 PC. The units (DU, CU, FIP, ALU, PC) express the measured enzyme activity, not the weight. The enzymes in DigeStim are obtained through fermentation and are not of animal origin. The enzymes in DigeStim are obtained through fermentation with Aspergillus species and are not of animal origin.

Vitamin C: 125% of the reference intake

Each capsule provides 100 mg of vitamin C in the form of calcium ascorbate — vitamin C bound to calcium — and with that 125% of the reference intake of 80 mg. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to normal energy-yielding metabolism. A varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important.

Artichoke extract

Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) is a thistle-like plant from the Mediterranean and has been part of Italian and French cooking for centuries. The extract naturally contains cynarin and chlorogenic acid. DigeStim contains 250 mg of artichoke extract per capsule. Artichoke belongs to the composite family (Asteraceae): do not use DigeStim if you have a known allergy to composite plants.

How to use DigeStim

Take 1 capsule during or just before the meal, with a glass of water. With three meals a day that means a maximum of 3 capsules. With three meals a day that adds up to 3 capsules — one pouch of 120 capsules is then, at 3 capsules a day, enough for 40 days. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Store the pouch dry and cool, closed and out of reach of children; not in the fridge. Colour and smell can vary slightly from batch to batch — normal for an enzyme preparation from fermentation.

Who DigeStim is not intended for

DigeStim is a food supplement, not a medicine. Do not use if you are allergic to moulds (the enzymes come from Aspergillus fermentation) or to composite plants (artichoke). Do you have pancreatic insufficiency or another condition of the pancreas? Then only use DigeStim after consulting your doctor. Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice. Do you use anticoagulants or diabetes medication? Then consult your doctor or pharmacist first. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet. Do you have gallstones or a blockage of the bile ducts? Then do not use DigeStim without consulting your doctor.
